Dear WiWA Members,
One of the goals of the Wisconsin Wireless
Association is to “raise awareness of the
benefits of wireless technology by educating our
communities, public officials and policy
makers.” To this end, we have established a
regulatory committee that meets regularly to
discuss the impact of local government
regulation on wireless development. These
discussions include, but are not limited to,
local jurisdictions that are revising their
siting regulations, and those that are utilizing
local consultants during the application
process.
The regulatory committee would like to assist
you in removing barriers to network deployment
at the local government level but we need your
help to do so. Specifically, we request that
you alert the regulatory committee any time you
learn that a local jurisdiction is changing its
wireless regulations. While we strive to
monitor the developments statewide, your
notifications will ensure that we stay current
with local government regulatory changes so that
we can intervene on your behalf. To alert the
regulatory committee, please contact us at the
link on the Contact Us page at
www.wisconsinwireless.org.
We look forward to working with you in the
future on these endeavors to create a positive
atmosphere for wireless development throughout
the state of Wisconsin.
Thank you,
WiWA Regulatory Committee
